Is it me, or is time flying??

Y’all it’s almost 2020! I don’t know about you, but I never really thought about being here in 2020 … and weren’t there supposed to be flying cars by now??

So now we are smack dab in the marketing season to buy this new item, get the new phone, purchase the new and improved whatever because it’s new and improved!! Life changing!!!

But in the midst of it all, we hear the sweet singing of a young mother who has just given birth … in a stable.

In that moment of stillness, I can imagine the face of Jesus looking up at his mother and hearing her softly sing.

Mary’s Lullaby

Lullaby, lullaby, my little one.
Lullaby, my child so dear.
Thy precious life has just begun;
Thy mother holds thee near.
While Joseph watches through the night,
A star reflects thy radiant light.

Thy gentle head shall wear a crown,
For thy Father is the King.
Thy tender hands, so tiny now,
Have blessings great to bring.
Let all creation join my song,
For peace and love this night are born.

Lullaby, lullaby, my little one.
Lullaby, my child so dear.

While Joseph watches through the night,
A star reflects thy light.

Let all creation join my song,
For peace and love are born.

Isaiah 9:6

No, I haven’t heard the melody to this song but I can surely hear her singing it to the little lamb of God.

Be sure to slow down this season. It’s not about the hustle or the newest thing on the market.

Stop and listen to the the sweet sounds of a baby in a manger. Consider the reason He was brought into this world.

It’s You.

He is waiting for you and He will come to you wherever you are.

God bless and Merry Christmas!
