Hello and welcome to my little spot on the web! I am glad you stopped by and I hope I can shine some light on your step today.
Born and raised in Texas with cowboy boots, bluebonnets, big mosquitos and big hair, I eventually made it to Arizona and decided to stay. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. And yes, ‘it’s a dry heat.’
I am a wife, a mom and a Nani to two beautiful little granddaughters. My passion is to help encourage, equip, support and refresh mothers of special needs children. My youngest child, Clay, contracted Group B Strep just three days after birth which left him blind, with cerebral palsy, on a 24 hour feeding pump via G-tube and very medically fragile. Clay was an inspiration not only to me, but to others as well.
My special child was 15 ½ years old when he peacefully went to live with the Lord. I wouldn’t be human if I told you that it was easy or that my faith kept me from grieving. Oh, I did grieve and I’m still grieving after all these years, however, my walk with Christ has become sweeter and sweeter each day. God has given me such peace and strength for my new season in life. THIS is what I want to pass on to you.
I have written a book, Special Kids, Chosen Moms, and I hope you take the time to check it out. In it I want to let you know that God wants to express His boundless love by meeting your needs to the point of overflowing! My passion with this book is to help organize, inform and take the worry out of a very stressful time in your life. I want to help steer you and your little one along the path of knowing, loving and living daily with Jesus. When you walk with God, you will be teaching your children to lean on Him in all situations. It’s never too early to begin your child’s spiritual training. You, dear one, have been chosen by the God who created the Universe, to have this little child. You are chosen! Once you realize who you are in Christ, you will recognize all that you are worth. He loves us more than we can possibly imagine, and we are His jewels.
So come along with me and let me show you things I have learned along the way. And no matter what, I want you to remember that He has promised that He will never desert you, nor will He ever forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5)
